Minnesota is beautiful. The summers boast gorgeous lakes. The fall has vibrant colors. Winter is essentially a snow globe. And spring brings the most mesmerizing showers. Along with beautiful lakes comes a whole boatload of mosquitos. My family and I spent the last few days in a cabin up in Duluth, MN. We explored Lake Superior, ate sandwiches in cozy cafes and browsed museums. But the second that we would get back to the cabin, we were attacked by mosquitos. And I for one love perfume, so they always, always, found me. So every day the process was as follows: wake up, get ready, put on sunscreen, put on perfume, put on bug spray and head out the door. Every night I would come home smelling like a confused mixture of haute couture and a garbage can. But amen that cabins aren't as rustic as they used to be and I was able to shower. And even though we all came back looking like red spotted Dalmatians, I had an awesome time! So I guess thank you for having us Duluth, Minnesota! It was a *bloody* good time! Ps. if anyone knows any non-foul smelling bug spray, let me know. Here is a picture of one of the lighthouses we visited. Enjoy!
